Getting Started

Welcome to Invoice Studio on iOS. Our goal is to provide a seamless, professional invoicing experience that helps you create, manage, and send invoices and quotes with ease. This support guide will help you navigate the app effectively on your iPhone or iPad.

App Permissions

Invoice Studio may request certain permissions to function as intended. You can manage these under Settings > Invoice Studio on your device.

• Camera: Used solely to let you photograph your company logo for display on invoices and quotes. The app does not access the camera for any other purpose.
• Photo Library: Used to allow you to select an existing image from your photo library as your company logo. The app does not browse or access your photos for any other purpose.
• File Storage: Used to save and export PDF documents that you generate within the app, via the iOS share sheet and Files app.

These permissions are optional. The app is fully functional without them, though certain features (logo upload, PDF export) may be limited.

Core Features

Invoice Studio includes the following features to help you manage your invoicing:

• Invoices & Quotes: Create professional invoices and quotes with customisable templates, line items, tax rates, and discounts.
• Client Management: Store and manage client details for quick access when creating documents.
• Company Profile: Set up your business details and logo to appear on all generated documents.
• PDF Generation & Sharing: Generate polished PDF documents and share them directly via email, messaging apps, or save to Files.
• Payment Tracking: Mark invoices as paid, partially paid, or outstanding to stay on top of your finances.
• Themes: Personalise your experience with a selection of app themes.

Pro Upgrade

Invoice Studio is free to download and use. The free version allows you to create up to 5 documents (invoices and quotes combined). An optional one-time in-app purchase unlocks premium features including:

• Unlimited invoices and quotes
• All document templates
• Full customisation options

The Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase with lifetime access. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. To restore a previous purchase, navigate to the upgrade screen within the app.

Saving and Backing Up Your Data

All invoice, quote, and client data is saved locally on your device. Invoice Studio does not use cloud storage or external servers. To protect your data:

• Your data is included in iCloud backups if iCloud Backup is enabled on your device (Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup).
• Use the built-in PDF export feature regularly to keep copies of your invoices and quotes.
• Save exported files to the Files app, iCloud Drive, or another secure storage service.

Important: Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all locally stored data. Studio Phoenix cannot recover data after deletion.

Troubleshooting

• Camera or photo library not working: Ensure you have granted the relevant permissions to Invoice Studio in Settings > Invoice Studio. If the permission was previously denied, you may need to enable it manually in your device settings.
• PDF not saving or sharing: Ensure the Files app or your chosen sharing method is functioning correctly. Check that your device has available storage space.
• Data not saving: Make sure your device has available storage space. If the issue persists, restart the app and try again.
• App crashes: Ensure your iOS is up to date and restart your device. If the problem continues, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app (note: this will delete local data).
• Pro upgrade not showing: Ensure you are connected to the internet and signed into your Apple ID. Try restoring your purchase from the upgrade screen within the app.
