#50 in Health & Fitness

Luna reached #50 in Health & Fitness on the New Zealand App Store. It's free to download on iOS and Android.

Health & Fitness is one of the hardest categories on the store to break into. Every fitness, sleep, diet and meditation app is competing for the same chart, and the cycle trackers alone include apps with venture funding and millions of users.

What people are downloading

Luna is a period and hormonal health tracker. You log your cycle, symptoms, mood, sleep and energy, and it tells you which phase you're in and what that means for your day.

It also reads your cycle alongside the maramataka, the Māori lunar calendar. Each night of the lunar month carries its own character, shown next to your cycle phase as context rather than instruction.

It works without an account. Your data stays on your phone unless you choose to turn on encrypted sync, and nothing you log is sold or used for ads.

Why we think it's working

Period tracking and predictions are things every big tracker already does well. Luna can't win on those alone. What sets it apart is the privacy model and the maramataka, and those are what people mention when they get in touch.

Made in Tauranga

Luna was designed and built in house at Studio Phoenix. The app and mylunatracker.com are both ours, from the first screen to the store listing.
